Macia Drummond is a performance-driven, strategic, and process-focused, Nursing & Clinical Operations Management professional and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner offering 10+ years of progressive nursing-focused leadership. After receiving her MSN from The Barbara H. Hagan School of Nursing, Molloy College, Macia's commitment to academia and innovation in mental health continues today as a recent Ph.D. graduate. Her dissertation research focused on examining the policies which maintain methadone treatment for addiction and the inherent barriers to transition from opioid substitutes. Macia Drummond is an authentic leader who has built a career on professional credibility, integrity, transparency, adaptability, and gaining the trust and respect of staff, colleagues, physicians, and the executive teams.
Publishing has allowed me to network with other scholars and to further refine my own ideas and research. It’s something I enjoy immensely and hope that my work will help others continue to further their research. I welcome any opportunities to collaborate.
Over the past few years, my peers and academic institutions have recognized my work. Although receiving these awards is an honor, the patients and families that I have served, and for their faith in me, I will forever be grateful.
My exposure to both academic and medical leadership settings (large and small) over the past 10 years has taught me to think strategically, pragmatically, and scientifically, positioning me as someone able to imagine, connect, and direct research efforts towards tangible objectives and strategic targets.
